Content Studio event actions makes possible for Content Studio to fire events when certain events such as document approval occurs. Event actions is based on queued components stored in the Microsoft Windows Message Queuing Services (MSMQ). Sometimes it is necessary to rebuild these queues in order to refresh the event actions functionality. In order to do this you must have administrative privileges on the Content Studio server and this procedure can not be done remotely from another computer.
  1. Open the Component Services Console application. You find this in the Control panel, Administrative tools. Under COM+ applications right-click the node Content Studio Service Manager and select the Shut down option.
  2. Right click the same node but this time open the properties dialog by selecting the properties option. Under the Queue tab unselect the queued and listener checkboxes and press Apply button and leave the dialog open.
  3. Restart the Content Studio Service Manager application.
  4. Open the Computer management dialog and select the Message Queuing option under Services and application. You can reach Computer management by right clicking "My computer" on the desktop and selecting Manage. Also you can find it in the Control Panel under the Administrative tools.
  5. Click the "Private queues" in the left pane and all queues will be displayed in the right pane.
  6. In the right pane delete all the 7 queues whose name starts with content studio service manager.
  7. Check the queued and listen checkboxes that you just unchecked and press the OK button to save your changes.
  8. Stop and start the Content Studio Service Manager application again.
In the Message Queuing's private queues the queues you just deleted should have been restored after you have refreshed the view. If starting Content Studio Service Manager returns an error make sure the Service Manager account has access to the Message Queing queues.
